MaxT - Martial Arts Cross Training

The MaxT class is new at the Karate Do, it combines the fun and excitement of martial arts training without the repetition and contact of a karate class. The resistance cross training in the course is done using SPRI Resistance Tubes and Power Bars. You get the results of working out with free weights or fitness equipment in a class atmosphere.

Every one works out together to great music, but each at his or her own level. That's what makes this such a fantastic program. Group dynamics and fun, but personalized workout programs determined by your current levels of fitness and your fitness goals.

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday classes do Resistance Cross Training using rubber resistance tubes and medicine balls. Classes alternate between upper and lower body workouts. One week will be upper body on Monday, lower body on Wednesday and upper body again on Friday. The next week will reverse the order; lower body on Monday, upper body on Wednesday and lower body again on Friday. This provides adequate resting time for muscle groups between exercise day.
